Champions again

Back to back titles, Chelsea, Premiership Champions again.

As has always been said, it is much harder to hold onto the title than it is to win it. Only the Mancs have done it recently, and we'll be after their three in a row record next season.

It was definitely more difficult, but we're still on course for a possible 97 point finish, having already equalled a near 100 year old home league record, of 18 wins, and one draw (Chavton). Incredible when you check out the quality of the opposition.

The Mancs, to give them credit, were easily the best opposition at the Bridge this season. They looked dangerous on the ball, and control it really well. Every time they get possession, you realise it could lead to a goal. 3-0 was a battering, and it was deserved, but it could have been closer.

Rooney did receive a standing ovation when the lifeboat men stretchered him off. Everyone realised the possible impact on our World Cup chances, but he was throwing himself about dangerously all afternoon to be fair, and although it was one of those unfortunate nothing-challenges, it did result in a broken foot, and the almost certain prospect of a World Cup without him.

Disappointingly, the press have decided that it is not worth going to the World Cup now, because we can't win it without him. That's the way boys, get behind the rest of the lads and encourage them...make them feel like they are good enough to go all the way regardless....Mind you, if the result is that we have to take Peter 'the streak of piss' Crouch - to the WORLD CUP? They may well have a point...
