Kezman Off

Athletico Madrid have announced today that they have agreed a deal with us to take Kezman to Spain. He never settled in here, and never really looked the part for a striker with such an amazing record prior to arriving. He did always have the support of the fans though and we hope he does well.

Madrid say there are a couple of things left to sort out in the deal, and that they hope to partner him with Fernando Torres. Lets hope that they never get the chance to play together and Torres is part of the deal!

We've got the Horn

The first signing of the Summer came last night, when the anticipated capture of Spanish international defender Asier del Horno for a fee of 12 million euros (approx £8 million) was completed.

Hopefully, this will put an end to any more garbage about trying to sign Stepney Cole. Then it's just left for Arsenal to pretend to the world that all is happy in the ranks where 3 of their best players tried to engineer their way out of the club at the end of the season as the manager enters his final year at the helm!

The fixture list comes out tomorrow, so we get to plan the season and make the usual noises about "tough run-ins" and "easy starts".

Look out, the Bicycle is out

Faria Alam, the ugly slapper that used to whore herself around the FA hasn't been in the news for a few weeks, so today she has decided to tell everyone who cares (nobody?) the next member of staff who got to ride her around the office.

What a classy bird. Not content with alleging that she "fell in love" with Sven, after only having met him once, for an hour, her somewhat bizarre attempt at gaining fame, or rather notoriety, is to keep telling the public how many pension-collecting aged, grey haired, blazer-donning males she's allowed to do her over the coffee machine.

She now alleges that David Davies, FA Executive Director sexually harassed her. She even goes as far as to say, in her tribunal "[Davies] had a bit of a reputation".
Jaysus...if he has a reputation, what have you got?!

Apparently, she has another court appearance next week. At a recent England match, the crowd chanted "Stand Up, if you've had Faria Alam". She alleges that one bloke who stood up in the back of the stand was lying.

25% of the Premiership in the Champions League?

Uefa have bowed down to "pressure" and bent the rules to allow defenders Liverpool the chance of defending the trophy, by entering the qualifying stages of the CL. They don't mention which team they kicked out of the fixture line-up to let the Mickeys in though.

Not that it matters a whole lot. Round 1 qualifying means you end up playing 6 matches pre-season just to get into the start of the competition. As with the Inter-Two-Bob Cup entrants, that's Liverpool's season finished at Christmas then...erm...no change there from last season.
