Oh, what a crisis...
Such terrible times. The second league loss in around 60 matches. And beaten by such minnows too, Man Utd at Old Trafford!
Realistically, if this is the best league in the world (which it is) then Manure *should* be beating us in their own stadium. As it happens, it was a pretty decent game, with chances. The goal came just after the half hour, when the rapist (allegedly) sent the cross over for Fletch from Porridge to loop his header over Cech.
We were much better in the second half, but again, Crespo was nowhere to be seen. One of the worlds best strikers, and where is he? Shopping in Harrods probably. If the reason he's pissed off is because the system uses one striker, then it should be the one from the Ivory Coast warming the bench.
Crespo has never been given a good run of 10 or so games in this team, and we either need to do that, or just let him go. It will be interesting to see if he plays against Ingerlern in the upcoming "friendly". Talking of which, what a relief...David James is back in the squad. Come on you Argies!
The one thing to come out of yesterday, is the seriousness of our situation on the lives of the Mancs. Top of the tree for so long, the original gravy trainers can't handle someone else being up there. The attitude received outside after the game was a throwback to the school yard. Pathetic really. Especially as the phrase "plastic manc" has been used for at least 10 years. Perhaps the accusations of being 'part-time supporters' comes from personal experience. No, of course not, you have all been going to Old Trafford for 40 years eh? Somehow I think the accent gave it away dude...
"Ah Velly funny - you lose. You no leal fan like Manchesters. Old Tlafford so great."
I've yet to meet a Manc that has been to Old Trafford as many times as I have, as an away supporter!
So, what a crisis we find ourselves in. Now we're just a tiny 10 points clear at only the beginning of November. Disaster!
