Strike a Tube driver
Again, the most under-worked, overpaid, terrified bunch of Londoners have gone on strike. The Northern Line is shut down, and once again, the gold chain wearing, sovereign ring adorned union leaders have begun to bleat on about 'safety' because they think the public have sympathy for them.
Bullshit you lazy fuckers. 30k a year, 30 hour weeks, 8 weeks annual holiday, free travel. And an extra 6 weeks off a year in strike action because one of your mates got caught boozing on the job, or taking 6 months off sick, but was spotted playing squash and living it up at the same time.
This time, they say they are in danger because the automatic brake system doesn't work properly when you go through a red signal. Well, you know what? DON'T DRIVE THROUGH A FUCKING RED SIGNAL THEN!
Its your job not to do it. It's not even difficult. You can't go the wrong way, you don't need to steer. In fact, all you have to do is keep your eyes open long enough to collect your pay cheque. We know the reality is that you ARE in danger of going through red lights because you're too busy watching DVDs and reading the Sun in your cab to bother about watching what's happening in front of you. So cut the safety bullshit out because we all know you're just out to scrounge as much as you can get out of everyone else who does have to work hard, and who can't just take a day off when they feel like it.
Wankers.

Why don't you get up at 3am and do up to TEN days on the trot. Try this when you are next off work (I presume you do work?) get up 3am and then dont eat till 12pm. Meanwhile try doing ANY task that requires concentration. Work boxing day or bank holidays? No, didnt think so. Have to think about when you can have a drink? Able to leave your desk anytime you choose? Have to deal with 800 people when you are stuck 100ft below ground ON YOUR OWN? No? Where you work, is it acceptable for people to swear at you, or spit at you, or behave like a mindless piece of scum? No, I didn't think so. If our job is so fucking easy, come on and have a try then, you will find out the meaning of being tired.
That's exactly your problem! Think about it - loads of people have to do those kind of hours, and imagine what it must be like not to be able to get to work because some other lazy fucker can't be bothered...The rest of us can't just take the day off, so we have to fight our way into work, taking hours, and then fight home again too AFTER working all day. Ambulance drivers, nurses, firemen - all paid a fraction of your wage...so if you don't like it - leave.
Too bloody right! I am an ambulance driver and my wife is a nurse. We get kicked, hit, spat on, shouted and screamed at and we earn a fraction of what you get. We are skilled workers who also have the lvies of other people in our hands and we dont bitch and moan and strike over any little thing that can wangle an extra day off for us. I hate the way you guys hold us to ransom when you strike. Its the public that suffers while you're down the boozer laughing with your mates. Its a bloody joke. If you dont like it, get another job you whinging waster.
Fuck those lazy cunts, seriously fuck em.
I have to get up at god knows what time to commute into London and have to do a job where I need to have a brain.......
Any fucking idiot can manage " Stop > Go > Stop" all day long.
Sack the lot of em and get Polish immigrants in for 1/2 the price -- and they'd be more concientious
lol - polish immigrants!
I think Strike Action is always unnecessary. It should not need to get that far.
Tube Drivers work as hard as anyone else. I don't think the public have any issues with drivers themselves, or tube driving as a job. I just think they feel strike action unnecessarily ruins everyone else's lives. It should not be allowed.
Also, underground tube networks across europe are so much more efficient (albeit newer). They run through the night, every night.
Keep up the good work drivers! The public like you really. Especially witty comments and drivers that smile.
The best strike I saw was in Sydney Australia where the employees had a dispute about working conditions, so they decided to go about work as usual but just not collect fares and open the barriers. They got the support of the public, people got a day free travel and the dispute was solved very quickly, everyone a winner!
You people are so right, I've just had to put up with a tube driver shouting at me because I complan that it took 15 mins to drive 5mins on the tube network without any annoucments. Weired that they complin when passengers shout at them, but they are allowed to shout at us! Lets face it, it's the easiest job in the world, move forwards and stop when the light is red - hardly rocket science, the rest of us get stress at work, whereas tey just mooch about and go on strike whenever they fancy, maybe I'll change career if it wasn't for the fact that all my colleagues would be such morons
im a nurse and people abuse us,i work sometimes 72 hour shifts with sometimes only 1 break every 24 hours, i often work a hell of a lot longer than 10 days in row, and how much do i get payed? less than a third of what you earn and do i complain or go on strike, no!
